Update Your Blog using Microsoft Word

All of our website designs include blogs allowing website owners to update their website and keep customers informed of news and events as they happen.

The main concern for our clients is a fear about the difficulty in updating their website and whether they have the technical ability to do this. I usually respond along the lines of “Anyone who can use Microsoft Word can do this”.

This is now literally true. This blog post has been updated using Microsoft Word and appears automatically on my website.

1. From the Settings menu choose Writing submenu (WordPress 2.9.x)
2. Ensure that the checkboxes Atom Publishing Protocol and XML-RPC are checked
3. Open MS Word
4. Write your blog post
5. From the File menu select Save As and choose other
