Shabby Chic is the order of the day with this ecommerce website. From their shop in Borrisokane, Co. Tipperary the owners offer a range of customised and hand crafted mouldings, decorative art and paints to transform and upcycle your old and tired furniture.

Shabby.ie had a old website that was causing many problems. The administration system was very restrictive and the design was not representative of their shop and products.

A major challenge with this site was to marry the authenticity and style of the product on offer with the commercial aspects of a shopping cart. We choose a colour that was calming and easy on the eye to create a serene mood for the visitor. We simplified the navigation menus and reduced clutter so that the customer would not be bombarded with too many options.

We created a short path to checkout so that the number of cart abandonment’s is reduced (customers who add items to their cart but don’t complete the purchase). We also coded some custom features such as restricting sale of paint products to Ireland only and implementing a custom delivery fee based on the user purchase and their location.

All in all our client was delighted with their new website, sales are up and they find the site very easy to use and manage.
